Summary of Rental Conditions
This contains a brief summary of our rental conditions
for your  Tauranga car hire.
The full details on the Vehicle Rental Contract do apply.

Driving Licence
Drivers must be 21 years old and produce a valid licence
issued in their country of residence.
International licences are accepted.

Additional Drivers
Unlimited drivers (over 21) are permitted without extra charge.
The person signing the rental contract
is responsible for the vehicle.

Rental Duration
Rental charges are calculated on a 24 hours = 1 day basis
effective from commencement of rental and extra hours
are liable to additional charge.
Extensions of rentals must be approved by the
Tauranga car hire rental office.
Hires must start and finish at the location
as per the Vehicle Rental Contract -
should you wish to change your drop off location
once the hire has proceeded a relocation charge may apply.
No refunds for hires shortened once they have commenced.

Kilometre/Mileage Allowance
All of our vehicles come with unlimited kilometres
unless specified otherwise.

Taxes
Our Quotes and Bookings include ALL Taxes (GST).

Bond
A Bond is required on all rentals.
By cash, traveller's cheques or by an open signed credit card imprint.
The Bond is fully refundable when the car is returned to the nominated location on time and all other terms of the Vehicle Rental Contract have been complied with. If there is damage to the vehicle on its return, the Bond will be used to cover the cost of such damage up to the amount of your relevant liability.

Booking Deposit
A deposit of $100 or 15% of the hire is required
to confirm a booking.

Classification/Substitution
We do not guarantee a specific make or model of car - only the general classification. At Tauranga car hire we reserve the right to substitute a comparable or superior vehicle at no extra cost to the hirer.

Cancellation
Where a booking is cancelled
once it has been confirmed by deposit
a cancellation fee - equal to the initial deposit-
may apply.
In addition, if a hire is cancelled
within 72 hours of pickup, a further charge
of 3 days hire may apply.

No Show
If you are a "no show" and have not notified us
at least 72 hours prior to pickup of your intention to cancel,
we reserve the right to charge you 3 days hire
in addition to your initial deposit.

Baby/Booster Seats
In New Zealand, by law, every child aged 5 and under
must use an authorised child seat.
Please notify us before arrival
if any child seats are required.
